Jillian & Michael {Ireland Wedding – Day 2}

Jillian and Michael began the day with a little breakfast and a trip to the spa before the wedding festivities at Lough Eske Castle. The weather was a nice surprise given the expected rain this time of year in Ireland. The anticipation as they prepared to see each other at the ceremony was exciting. After a quick celebratory drink post-ceremony, we began on our adventure throughout Donegal’s gorgeous countryside. Just after sunset and dinner, we wandered into The Reel Inn, where Jillian and Michael were greeted with cheers, beers and open arms from all these wonderful new faces. The band even played a song for them, so we could technically call it their “first dance.” Even one of the fellas quietly and beautifully sang them a love song. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get misty-eyed from all of this. What an honor it was to travel from Worcester, MA to Donegal, Ireland with Jillian and Michael. I really admire their love and humor, and was happy to tell the story of their wedding adventure, not just for them, but also their family and friends back home.
