Mystic, CT Wedding | V & R
Weddings at family homes always hit different. This mid-century house in Mystic, CT had a total Wes Anderson vibe. It had that layered, lived-in feeling you simply can’t fake. Wood walls soaked up years of memories. Sun poured through every window. The furniture probably had seen a thousand rearrangements but never a replacement.
Friends and family roamed about half-dressed and laughing. They stepped over bags and curling irons. Still, only a close crew can make chaos look that good.
Next up, V’s dress. It was next-level. The incredible Wiederhoeft custom-crafted it from her mom’s original Bergdorf‘s gown—straight out of the ’80s. From there, they completely reimagined it into something entirely new. So cool!
This wedding was loud in all the right ways. Color, laughter, music, and squirt gun fights filled the day. People didn’t just show up to witness V & R’s love. Instead, they showed up to fully celebrate it. First came heartfelt vows, then a dance party that moved from under the tent to the lawn. The energy was easy, contagious, and never let up. You could feel how much everyone loves these two. You could feel how much fun everyone had just being part of it. Good chaos. The kind that lingers in the best way.
